Oil on canvas, 22″x28″
My brother has been developing his photography skills successfully for quite sometime, and we are each other’s best travel companions. We both understand that a figure in the foreground of a scene makes a strong composition, so we often help each other out by being in the other’s photographs while abroad. Taken around 2002, this image is a product of an early stage in the development of this mutual understanding. We were enjoying the beach that saw a major typhoon only days before, a typhoon whose traces were seen in the colours of the sky, sand, and sea.
